Does the council tax system in Wales need to be changed? The new Plaid Cymru Welsh Government says it's committed to making council tax fairer. However there's uncertainty over whether homes in Wales will be revalued as part of council tax reforms. Local government minister Siân Gwenllian said the government was "actively looking" at whether the change was going to go ahead. A group of academics are calling for Welsh history to have a more prominent place in the school curriculum. They have written an open letter to the Welsh Government, saying that too many pupils are leaving education with a limited understanding of the nation’s past. The letter describes inconsistent teachings and an unacceptable postcode lottery of Welsh historical knowledge. Which events from the history of Wales would you incorporate into the curriculum? And today is ‘Make a Difference Day’ across the BBC. Make a Difference celebrates people doing great things for others. And as it’s Volunteers’ Week, today’s Make a Difference Day shines a spotlight on volunteering – and our amazing volunteers here in Wales. If you want to give a shout out to someone who makes a difference in your community, then get in touch. Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110 or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nation's conversation.
