Episode details

Available for over a year
The latest report from UK Finance has more evidence of the eye-watering amount of money criminals are stealing in scams. More than four million cases were reported last year - the equivalent of nearly eight on average, every minute - with the total losses reaching almost £1.3 billion. Most scams start online - and most of the rest start via telecommunications like text messages or emails. We'll ask whether the companies representing those sectors are doing enough to stop them - and should they be dipping into their profits to compensate scam victims? Also on the programme, we'll ask why there's been a sharp drop in the number of diverse body shapes being featured in adverts in the UK. And as estate agents make increasing use of AI in their property adverts, where’s the line between helping people picture themselves living somewhere and giving a misleading impression?
