Teddy Quinn, Lovely Laura and Action Ability

Saturday with John Toal

Available for 29 days

In the studio is Teddy Quinn, who grew up in Belfast, played for Larne in an Irish Cup Final, won an Ulster senior hurling medal with Rossa, moved to Everton and then was attracted by the bright lights of America, where he played for the LA Aztecs and got 48 caps with the US national football team. John drops in on Action Ability, the community organisation championing social inclusion for people with disabilities, as they rehearse for their upcoming Grand Opera House production Souled Out. He then travels to Crumlin to meet retired classic car restorer James Black for a chat about the history and heritage of iconic cars here, including the Rolls Royce. Ibiza saxophonist Lovely Laura and Lush co founder Col Hamilton join us ahead of tonight’s Lush Classical concert at Custom House Square. Musician Paddy Casey chats about his new upbeat summer track, This is to Move. And Paula McIntyre makes Mille Feuille with rhubarb and custard cream
