Cerys hosts your Sunday sonic and cultural adventure, with lead actor Leisa Gwenllian and filmmaker Marc Evans from the film 'Effi o Blaenau', as well as photographer Ray Stevenson on his new book 'Not Just Punk'. 'Effi o Blaenau' is a Welsh-language drama directed by Marc Evans. Adapted from Gary Owen's acclaimed 2015 play Iphigenia in Splott, the film relocates the story from Cardiff to Blaenau Ffestiniog in north Wales. Leisa Gwenllian is a Welsh actress whose performance as Effi in Effi o Blaenau is being hailed as a breakout role and a major arrival moment in her career. Marc Evans is the acclaimed Welsh filmmaker behind Effi o Blaenau, fresh from a BAFTA nomination for Mr Burton. Ray Stevenson is a legendary British music photographer whose images have documented everyone from the folk pioneers of the 1960s to the punk revolution of the 1970s and beyond. Ray joins us to discuss Not Just Punk, his 2025 book published by Cadiz Music, celebrating more than six decades behind the lens.
