Today, the UK-based Kleio Quartet play Haydn at Wigmore Hall, and the Ukrainian clarinettist Oleg Shebeta-Dragan essays a groovy sonata by the Cardiff-born composer and satirist Alec Templeton. Indeed, a list of the former alumni reads like a Who’s Who of the international music scene, with names like Lisa Batiashvili, Igor Levit, Sean Shibe, Alison Balsom, Mark Simpson and the Belcea Quartet.
