They’ll be taking us back to the late 80s underground, tracing the story behind the seminal track Voodoo Ray, and celebrating the Black northern pioneers who birthed UK Bleep Techno and revolutionised British electronic music, part of The Music Is Black season. Every Friday throughout August, 6 Music is taking a decade-by-decade journey from the 80s to the 2010s, celebrating Black British music scenes and sound system culture, featuring the absolute pioneers of UK dance music.
