Vernon finishes the week with the final two selections from presenter Alex Jones in Tracks of My Years. From Ammanford, Carmenthenshire, Alex initially wanted to be an actor and studied theatre, film and television at Aberystwyth University. Whilst there she filmed a reality TV show called Prickly Heat in Magaluf before taking some theatre roles and working in TV production, soon realising that she was most suited to being in front of the camera. She worked in sport and children’s TV, and on Welsh-language channel S4C before joining The One Show in 2010. Since then she's also presented various other programmes and events across the BBC, as well as taking part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2011. This month she's part of the team, alongside Vernon, celebrating The One Show's 20th anniversary.
