Jennifer Jones takes your calls on swimming in Welsh waters, menopause and hosting

Campaigners say sewage was released into rivers, lakes and the sea around Wales more than a hundred thousand times last year. Surfers Against Sewage says the discharges lasted for a total of more than eight hundred thousand hours. That was down from nine hundred and seventy thousand hours during the previous year - but the group says this was partly because of the dry summer in 2025. Do you swim in Welsh waters? If so, do stories like this one worry you? How has the menopause impacted you, or a loved one? October marks Menopause Awareness Month - a campaign which aims to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and highlight the support that's available. 'World Menopause DAY 2026' will be on October 18th, and this year's theme is 'Chronic Pain at Midlife', recognising the impact that persistent pain and related symptoms can have on daily life. And hosting friends or family is on the decline. According to one poll, more than four in ten British people avoid hosting a dinner party, due to the clean-up it requires. And in America, there’s been a 70% drop in hosting over a 50-year period. If you host dinner parties, what is the secret to their success? Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110. Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nation's conversation.
