Ella Thompson Trunk of Funk

Available for 27 days

Stuart Maconie sits in. This week’s Trunk of Funk comes from Melbourne soul singer Ella Thompson. Steeped in the sweet soul of the ’60s and ’70s, she’s part of a thriving Melbourne scene that’s also given us the likes of Surprise Chef and Karate Boogaloo. Ella raids her record collection for the Trunk of Funk mix. Produced in Salford by Audio Always for BBC Radio 6 Music.
