Author Louise Hare: ‘There’s now a positive representation of Windrush’

Originally from the north-west of England, Louise Hare is an author of historical fiction. She came down to London around 20 years ago, initially to work in the travel industry, before studying for a masters in creative writing at Birkbeck University. In 2020, Louise was selected for the Observer Top 10 Best Debut Novelists list. To date, she’s published novels four novels, the latest of which is called ‘The House of Fallen Sisters’, set in an eighteenth century Covent Garden brothel.
