The Madeley bench that's causing a stir

Madeley residents, and creator Rob Dalton, react to the paint job given to a bench that was created from a fallen horse chestnut tree in the village. The bench's makeover has caused a lot of uproar. The BBC have approached Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council for their response to it, as well as Staffordshire police, and are awaiting a response. The BBC have also approached Madeley Parish Cllr, David Whitmore, who admitted to the BBC he had painted the bench. He has declined to comment at this time.
