Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen spoke on the BBC Radio Tees Hotseat about wanting to give residents tax rebates over keeping a share of income tax and business rates to reinvest locally. This comes after Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced plans to give all mayors of city regions in England a share of income tax revenue for the first time, as part of his drive to transfer power from Westminster to local leaders.
