Thetford: Chief Constable defends disorder arrests

Police have made further arrests in Thetford in Norfolk after officers were given additional powers to tackle disorder linked to anti-immigration protests. Two men in their 40s were detained yesterday evening, taking the total number of those arrested to five. Earlier this week, crowds attempted to storm homes thought to be linked to asylum seekers with police saying they were 'subjected to significant aggression'.
