Teddy has saved thousands of sweet tubs from landfill

8-year-old Teddy Michaelides from Southampton has he’s prevented 11,000 plastic sweet tubs from ending up in landfill, ensuring they’re responsibly recycled and raising money for MacMillian. Teddy is one of the finalists in the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards for 2026. Him and his mum, Laura, have been chatting to Rick Jackson.
