Ted Lasso star 'smitten' by Worcester

Available for over a year

Bill Fellows, who also played Stu Carpenter in Coronation Street, tells of his love for the faithful city, enjoying the calmness of the River Severn and closeness to the Cotswolds. The actor was seen in ten episodes of the surprise Apple TV hit, Ted Lasso, as the coach of AFC Richmond before being sacked by Hannah Waddingham's character in the first episode. He later appeared as the coach of rivals West Ham United, where he was shoved on the pitch by the late Anthony Head in the finale of the third series. He won a Screen Actors Guild Award with the cast of the show. Bill tells Toni McDonald how his location near Diglis has also led to working relationships with one-time co-star Toyah and her husband Robert Fripp, and enjoys regular visits to Pershore to see them. The actor is also a musician in his own right, spending more than 30 years writing songs behind the scenes, finally sharing his music with the public. Image credit: Jordan Pecks/Getty
