Romania’s President speaks to Weekend

Weekend

Available for 29 days

We hear from Romanian President Nicușor Dan about the Russian drone which hit a block of flats in Romania. President Dan says he has no doubt it was a Russian drone which entered his country’s airspace and hit an apartment block in the east of the country. In the interview, President Dan did not rule out expelling the Russian ambassador should there be further incidents of this kind. Also in the programme: the UFC comes to The White House; and we look ahead to the UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest. Presenter Julian Worricker is joined by Kathleen Stock, a UK-based writer, cultural commentator and contributing editor to the online news and opinion website, Unherd; and Chris Michael, US editor for the Guardian newspaper based here in London.
