The LA Clippers have been fined $30 million by the National Basketball Association after an investigation revealed that the club had circumvented salary rules to channel funds to their star player Kawhi Leonard.The fine is the largest in the league’s history. Two-time NBA champion Leonard was also fined $700,000, and the NBA has suspended the Clippers’ owner, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. The Clippers said they will appeal against the decision.
