Wrexham Daily: Millwall away and a huge deadline day

Image source, Getty ImagesAssistant boss Steve Parkin says Wrexham are anticipating a "feisty affair" when they take on Millwall at The Den tonight (19:45 BST).
The Lions won their opening two games of the league campaign but were thrashed 5-1 by Southampton last time out.
Wrexham - who are yet to win in four matches across all competitions this season - secured their first league victory of the 2025-26 campaign at Millwall.
But after Alex Neil's men reached the play-offs last term, Parkin is fully aware that his side have a tough task ahead of them.
"We're expecting what we always expect from Millwall, a feisty affair, a well-organised team, a hard-working team," he said.
"Everybody's well aware of what they achieved last season and they went really close.
"It's a game that we will have to be bang at it to come out with a result.
"The key thing is that we need to make sure that we're in the right frame of mind and be ready for the battle at Millwall, which it always is."
Josh Windass, Wrexham's top scorer last season, made his long-awaited return to action from a calf injury as a substitute in the 2-1 loss to Birmingham City on Friday.
Left wing-back Liberato Cacace and central midfielder Ben Sheaf remain sidelined, although Parkin confirmed the latter is edging closer to a return to action.
New signing Joe Worrall, who joined the club on a permanent deal from Burnley on transfer deadline day, is eligible to feature against Millwall.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Seasiders on loan in the second half of the 2025-26 campaign and made 12 appearances for Mike Wilde's side.
Moore - who featured for Wrexham against Wisla Krakow and Manchester United in pre-season - has now sealed a second temporary switch to The Blue Turtle Arena.
A Wrexham statement read: "All at Wrexham AFC would like to wish Moore and the Bay the best of luck."
Moore is eligible to make his second debut for Bay in their contest with Penybont on Saturday (12:30 BST).

Former Wales international Nia Jones feels Wrexham's defensive issues can be fixed easily.
Phil Parkinson's charges are yet to win across their four games so far this season, and are awaiting their first clean sheet.
The back-to-back-to-back promotion-winning boss lamented both goals conceded in their 2-1 defeat by Birmingham, describing them as "soft".
Jones agreed with Parkinson's assessment, but believes the Red Dragons can quickly cut out their mistakes at the back.
"If you look at the goals, he [Parkinson] said they were two of the worst goals he feels they have conceded under his tenure. They were awful," she said on BBC's Feast of Football Podcast.
"You can look at that one or two ways. You can think it's not looking good for Wrexham, or you can say that they are two really quick fixes.
"One guy just walks into the back post off a corner. He's being half held. He doesn't even jump - you would be fuming with that.
"The second one is [poor] defending on the second phase off a throw-in. It's really fixable stuff, and they are only three games into the season.
"He [Parkinson] will absolutely want to pick up a couple of results in the next week, but they've got a tough run. Millwall away is tough and then Swansea."
Wrexham have added centre-back Joe Worrall from Burnley on deadline day. He joins other defensive additions Danny Imray, Anthony Patterson, Issa Kabore and Jacques Ekomie.

Image source, Getty ImagesMillwall have set a £15m asking price for winger Femi Azeez amid multiple offers from Brighton.
The south-coast club, whose interest was first reported by BBC Sport, have made two offers in recent weeks worth over £10m. A third has more recently come in surpassing £12m.
Azeez is understood to be keen on a move to the Amex Stadium.
However, Brighton remain short of Millwall's valuation. The south London club are prepared to let Azeez take the next step in his career if their demands are met.
Millwall signed Azeez from Reading in 2024 for around £1m and the Nigeria international is into the final 24 months of his contract. A sale would generate a significant return on the 25 year old.
Fellow Championship club Wrexham are also believed to have shown an interest but a move to the Premier League is his sole focus.
Azeez, who was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, is understood to be one of Brighton's top targets ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline and he desperate for it happen.

Little more than 24 hours after being announced as a Red Dragons player, Ekomie had his first start in the 2-1 loss to the Blues at the Racecourse Ground.
The 23-year-old's influence on proceedings grew as the contest wore on, and he ended the match having made two interceptions, a tackle and one clearance.
"I think he grew into the game, didn't he?" Parkinson said of Ekomie.
"I had to protect him to a certain degree because of the travelling he's had this week.
"But he did well in terms of, particularly the second half, he got more of the ball in that top end of the pitch.
"I felt a little bit for him tonight because there's a certain belief and a way I want us to play and I didn't think we showed enough of it tonight."
On the right flank, Danny Imray started a fourth game in succession across all competitions since joining the Red Dragons from Crystal Palace in the summer.
He was replaced by Ekomie's fellow new arrival Issa Kabore - who sealed a permanent move to north Wales from Manchester City on Thursday - in the 71st minute against Birmingham.
Given the injuries to Liberato Cacace and George Thomason, Parkinson felt it was essential that Wrexham bolstered their wing-back options.
"Danny did well," the Wrexham manager said.
"It's a very high demanding physical position and we've just got to make sure that we've got the ability to rotate players in that position because it can be tough.
"I want to make sure that when we pick players that they're fresh enough to play at the optimum."
