    Oldham have signed their third new player of the week after agreeing a season-long loan deal with Bolton for defender Lewis Temple.

    The Republic of Ireland Under-19 centre-back, 21, has been with the Trotters since January when he joined from League of Ireland side Shelbourne.

    He made 15 appearances for Shelbourne last season, including three in the Europa League.

    "The loan is something that we've been speaking about for the last few weeks and I'm delighted," Temple told the club website.

    Latics boss Micky Mellon added Temple had been on their radar for a while and highlighted his comfort on the ball and his experience in Ireland as positives he could bring to the squad.

    Temple follows midfielders Tom Hill and Kai Payne into Boundary Park this week in preparing for the new season, which starts on Saturday with their Carabao Cup first round tie at Championship side Stoke City.

    Rochdale have signed Derby County forward Dajaune Brown on a season-long loan deal.

    The 20-year-old Jamaica international scored one goal in 24 league appearances on loan at Port Vale last season.

    He could make his Dale debut in Saturday's Carabao Cup first-round tie at Bradford City.

    "He's someone we've been chasing all summer and identified early on," boss Ian Watson told the club website.

    Wigan Athletic have signed Bournemouth defender Archie Harris for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.

    The 21-year-old made 41 league appearances for National League Eastleigh while on loan there last season.

    The Wales Under-21 international featured in a pre-season game for the Latics as a trialist.

    He could now make his competitive debut for Gary Caldwell's side against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup first round on Saturday.
