LESSON 7
Transparency

Robert Marshall Andrews, MP:
My concern is that if there is no transparency then suspicions will arise which are wholly without merit. What we are asking for is that these accounts should be made available in order that that kind of transparency shall exist.

Tony Thorne:
The idea of transparency is all about this very current idea of people wanting trust - to be able to trust the government - to trust the business world. And transparency is about knowing what people's real motives are, what they really mean when they are doing something to you - and it's about the fact that we suspect that government, politicians, professionals don't reveal the real reasons for what they do.
