When Bex Williams wakes up from a coma, she reveals crucial information about the culprit. Can detectives determine who targeted the family home, murdering Cameron Logan?
January 2017. Police continue their investigation into the murder of 23-year-old Cameron Logan, who died in a fire at his family home in Milngavie, near Glasgow. Bex Williams has suffered severe injuries in the fire that killed her boyfriend, but at last she is well enough to provide police with vital information about what happened on New Year’s Day. From her hospital bed, she recalls the horror of what she saw and heard during the attack, but she is unable to identify the masked intruder.
With the murderer still at large, detectives must look elsewhere for answers. Their attention turns to Cameron’s older brother Blair, and they discover the brothers had not always seen eye to eye. But could a family fall out really have led to such violent and deadly consequences? Blair tells police he was out jogging on the morning of the fire, and only returned when the emergency services were arriving. Could his absence simply be a coincidence, or is there more to his movements that morning?
Working alongside their forensic colleagues, detectives revisit the house, and they finally find a key piece of evidence that enables them to name a suspect. Bex begins the long process of recovery and grief, and speaking in a documentary for the first time, she details how she worked through the physical and emotional impact of the fire. With so much against her, Bex shows extraordinary strength and is determined to find justice for Cameron.
