County Durham veteran living in woods for 15 weeks

Blair Murray served in the Royal Logistics Corps and was made homeless by a landlord last year. He told Amy Oakden how he spent the last 15 weeks living in the woods near Crook.

Since the BBC got in touch Durham County Council's homeless prevention manager, Christopher Hepworth, said they have worked with the Armed Forces Outreach Service and booked him in to temporary accommodation.

Hepworth said: “Our Homeless Prevention Service have been working in partnership with our Armed Forces Outreach Service (AFOS) to support Mr Murray, and we have now found him a temporary accommodation placement. We will continue to work with him to secure suitable, stable, long-term accommodation."
