Nigeria: President Buhari removes military leaders

Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has taken the decision to overhaul the country’s military leadership, following months of political pressure over growing insecurity. Nigeria continues to grapple with widespread violence, including the long-running Boko Haram insurgency and rampant kidnapping for ransom.
