
Nigeria: More than 180 abducted in Kaduna raid
Gunmen have kidnapped more than 180 people in a raid on a Baptist school in Kaduna State, Nigeria.
The latest kidnapping targeting students in Nigeria has taken place in Kaduna State, where gunmen have abducted more than 180 people in an overnight raid on Bethel Baptist School. A parent whose fifteen year old daughter is missing told the BBC that dozens of armed men on motorbikes attacked the school in the middle of the night.
Plus, supporters of former South African president Jacob Zuma have formed a human shield around his compound, to protect him from apprehension by the authorities. Mr Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after being found guilty of contempt of court, and was due to hand himself in on Sunday.
