TPLF announces demands for Tigray ceasefire

The TPLF has announced the conditions it is demanding in order to observe a ceasefire with the Ethiopian federal government in Tigray. The demands include the withdrawal of Eritrean and Amhara forces from the region, where federal forces declared their own unilateral ceasefire last week. The TPLF has regained control of key areas of the region, including its capital Mekelle.

Plus, we look back at the life of influential Ethiopian philanthropist Abebech Gobena, who has passed away at the age of 85. She raised and helped thousands of children across Ethiopia through her renowned Abebech Gobena Children’s Care and Development Association orphanage.
