New Kenyan law allows easier integration of refugees
The new law comes just six months before a planned shutdown of refugee camps.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has signed into law a new refugee bill that allows asylum seekers easier access to education, and opportunities to integrate and earn a living. The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has condemned the violence against pro-democracy protesters in Sudan and reiterated a call for the ousted prime minister, Abdalla Hamdok, to be reinstated.
