Great Lives

The 19th century French novelist George Sand is perhaps best-known for her cross-dressing antics. Plus a string of famous lovers that included composer Frederic Chopin. Francine Stock is the presenter with biographer Belinda Jack providing the expert advice. Producer: Miles Warde First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in April 2005.
