Robbie in thoughtful mood
The first time one hears this musical masterpiece one is pulled into Robbie's world by the heart strings. The massive amount of feeling he has put into this contemporary anthem is nothing short of breathtaking.

The song starts gently, with a simple recurring piano sequence that builds with percussion and vocals to a heart beat of a dance song, leading the entrapped listener by the tapping toe tips into Robbie's emotions at the time.

He stresses that the song represented his mind set at the time, yet for me this song will always have relevance because every human seeks love, yet few are blessed with love of the kind Robbie asks for.

As the music progresses, there is a constant build up of percussion and strings to support the soaring vocal, which entreats the listener to help in the eternal quest for love and understanding.

This song, more even than Angels or No Regrets, represents to me Robbie at his totally addictive best! I fear he will be unable to sing this one at concerts for ever though, because unlike Angels it is defined by a moment in time which for Robbie, is clearly long past.

A very critical listener might say the song leaves one unresolved - I guess this is intentional, because on the album it flows beautifully into Something Beautiful, a celebration of love discovered that has a marvellous upbeat energy.... so I had better review this one next, I suppose!

In all, a completely genuine study of 21st century loneliness, and a damn fine song! Thanks Robbie Williams, we love you!
