  1. The outside of the South Tyneside Council office building in South Shields. It is an old Grade 2 listed building. It is a Victorian building with two large brown wooden doors in the centre of its brown stone facade, and large leaded windows across two floors. The central section has pillars rising to ornate masonry above a huge arch window. At the top, on a third floor, there are two circular windows. To the left is a 153-foot clock tower beside the building, with flag poles going along the roof of the building.
