Courtney Pine, then a 21-year-old saxophonist, was filmed rehearsing with his band in 1985. During the session, he also spoke about his love of jazz and his work with the Community Music Workshop. Having recently performed at Ronnie Scott's, Pine expressed his hope that more Black musicians would join the jazz scene
