Summary
A ridge of high pressure giving mainly settled conditions on Monday will move away northeastwards, as an area of low pressure approaches the British Isles from the south. This will eventually bring an increasing risk of rain or showers, some thundery, to southern waters from Tuesday. Strong winds are expected at times across some southern waters, mainly English Channel and Bristol Channel coasts.
