Tonight, the mainland will start mostly clear but thick cloud and outbreaks of rain will move in from the west during the early hours. Variable cloud on the Isles, with a few light showers in Orkney.

Tomorrow morning, outbreaks of rain will push across the mainland, clearing to sunny spells an showers later on. Dry at first on the Isles but spells of rain moving in during the afternoon. Breezy.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Wednesday is expected to be mostly dry with sunny spells across the Isles, but the mainland will see bands of cloud and occasional showers before skies clear in the evening. Thursday looks to have some heavy showers in the north of the mainland and Orkney. Mainly dry with sunshine elsewhere. A mix of sunshine and scattered showers on Friday. Shetland may escape drier, however.
