Two murder arrests after man stabbed

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was reportedly stabbed on Friday.

Police said they were called to Orme Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, shortly after 17:00 BST, following a crash involving a red Ford Fiesta and grey Audi.

The driver of the Fiesta, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he later died, officers said. They added his family was being supported by specialist officers.

The two men arrested, aged 20 and 22, both from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, remained in custody on Saturday, according to police.

Police urged anyone with information, or those with video footage in the area of Orme Road, Rotterdam and Mill Bank Place is asked to contact them.
