Woman released on bail after girl, 6, dies in crash
PSNI/FAMILY HANDOUTA 40-year-old woman who was arrested after a child died following a road traffic collision in Newry has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said Kourtney Khloe McCormick had just turned six years old.
Police received a report of a collision involving a black Ford Tourneo and a child in the Springfarm Heights area at approximately 21:25 BST on Sunday.
She was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances and have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have captured footage of what happened to contact them.

DUP MLA for Newry and Armagh, Gareth Wilson, said his thoughts and prayers were with the family.
"The loss of a young life is always particularly heartbreaking, and it will be felt right across the wider community."
