Man dies in van and lorry crash
BBCA man died when his van collided with a lorry in Northamptonshire.
Officers were called to reports of a crash on the A45 Flore Bypass at 21:40 BST on Monday involving a white Nissan Townstar van heading towards Daventry and a green HGV travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Northamptonshire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) because the force had contact with the Nissan driver in the days before the collision.
Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or who might have footage of it to contact them.
