Attempted murder charge after man stabbed at flats
BBCA man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was seriously injured in a stabbing.
Derbyshire Police said a man in his 20s suffered stab wounds at flats in Town Street, Sandiacre, Derbyshire, on Friday.
The victim, from Swadlincote, was given first aid by an officer at the scene before being taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition, the force said.
Michael Down, 41, of York Street, New Bilton, Rugby, has been charged with attempted murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on 3 August, the force said.
