A 25-year-old man has been arrested over a rape in the Broomielaw area of Glasgow.

Officers were called to the incident in Warroch Street near the River Clyde at about 22:45 on Wednesday night.

A small wooded area of the street near a building site remained cordoned off on Thursday for police investigations.

Police Scotland said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
