Man in his 20s dies in two-lorry crash

A man in his 20s has died following a collision between two lorries.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it responded to a report of the crash on the Spitfire Link Road in Winchester at just after 02:30 BST.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and had been a passenger in one of the vehicles.

The force said a road closure had been put in place from junction 9 of the M3 to the Spitfire Link Road roundabouts to allow for investigations. It added that the public would be updated once it was lifted.

The force appealed to anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
