Murder inquiry after stabbed man dies

A man has died three days after he was stabbed in what police said was thought to be a targeted attack.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Ashville Avenue, Hodge Hill in Birmingham, at about 23:50 BST on Tuesday. The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital having suffered a number of injuries and but later died.

West Midlands Police have launched a murder inquiry are carrying out CCTV and house-to-house inquiries.

Police officers have remained in the area to carry out reassurance patrols and the force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
