Two girls, who were reported missing at the weekend have been found, police have said.

The two, aged 11 and 12, had last been seen in the Newbold area of Rugby, during the the early hours of Sunday but police said they had been found on Tuesday.

Officers had carried out house-to-house inquiries in a bid to find the two with the helicopter also being used. Searches of CCTV footage and digital media were also carried out.

The girls had previously lived in Cornwall, police said, and the force had been in contact with Devon and Cornwall Police as part of efforts to locate them.
