Golf course and club put up for sale for £9.95m
Craig Robinson/ SavillsA golf and country club covering 62 acres of land in Jersey has been put up for sale with a guide price of £9.95m.
Les Mielles Golf & Country Club, at St Ouen's Bay, has been open since the 1960s and caters for men, women and juniors. It is home to several local golf societies and has hosted PGA Championships.
The course is arranged as two nine-hole loops and there is also a club house and restaurant, along with a pro shop, offices, staff accommodation and a beauty salon with treatment rooms.
The club's co-owner and director of golf, Jonathan Le Brun, whose family has run it for four generation, said it was not "an easy decision" to sell but it was "the right time to hand over the reins".
Le Brun added the business" is running efficiently" and has several income streams including memberships, visitor green fees, food and drink sales and events.
It is on the market with Savills Jersey and Le Brun said: "Everything is in place for a smooth transition."
The club said existing memberships and prepaid subscriptions would be honoured for the current term.
