Overnight closures to begin at motorway junction

Motorists are being advised of diversions as road resurfacing work and a bridge joint replacement project takes place in Leicestershire.

National Highways said the eastbound section of the M6 joining the M1 at the Catthorpe interchange will be closed between 21:00 and 06:00 BST on weekdays.

The closure will be in place until 21 September, with some lane closures also implemented during daytime hours.

No work will take place on 25 August, or over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the organisation added.
