Motorway link road closed after crash

A major motorway link road has been shut after a crash.

Hampshire Police said the crash happened on Tuesday night, forcing the closure of the two lanes linking the M3 near Eastleigh to the westbound M27 slip road.

Chestnut Avenue has also been closed between Nightingale Avenue and Falkland Road.

National Highways said recovery work was under way and a structural engineer was assessing a bridge. Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journey or seek alternative routes.
