A motorcyclist has died after being found injured in a ditch in Leicestershire.

Police were called to Sheepy Road, Twycross, at 10:49 BST on Friday by ambulance crews who had been alerted to the casualty.

The man was found with his motorbike, a silver Triumph Thruxton.

Despite assistance from emergency services, the man - in his 60s - was pronounced dead at the scene.

An appeal has been made for witnesses and dashcam from the area at the relevant time.
