A trial date has been set for a 21-year-old man charged with terror offences including owning instructions for making guns and a ricin recipe.

Joshua Jones, of Buttercup Close, Stockton, Teesside, appeared at the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing on four counts of possessing a document likely to be useful to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

He is also charged with transmitting the contents of a terrorist publication electronically.

The case was sent to Teesside Crown Court for trial on 8 November 2027. Jones was released on unconditional bail.

The charges followed an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East.
