Man, 39, arrested after woman found dead in Hawick

A 39-year-old man has been arrested over an alleged assault after a woman was found dead in the Borders.

Police were called to a property on McLagan Drive in Hawick at about 07:20.

Stacey Hogg, aged 35, was found dead and police say her death is being treated as suspicious.

Police Scotland said her family had been informed and inquiries were ongoing.
