Family PhotoThe heartbroken family of a dad-of-10 who died after being found injured in the street have said their lives will never be the same.
Young John Mongan, 49, was found after police were called to Church Street in Welshpool, Powys, in the early hours of 28 June.
Paying tribute to their father, who was from from Walsall, West Midlands, his sons and daughters said: "You will never be forgotten daddy."
A 22-year-old man has appeared in court charged with his murder.
His family said he was a father, grandfather, and best friend, adding: "He was a family man who would do anything for us and would never leave his children or family short of anything.
"Our lives have changed in a blink of an eye and will never be the same again."
They said "he was everything" to his wife Margaret, and to his sons and daughters - John, Michael, Christy, Ned, Bernie, David, Staceymarie, Charlotte, Megan and Annalise - he was "a one-of-a-kind, a best friend, idol, and... protector."
The grandfather, the family said, "loved the ground his grandchildren walked on".
They added: "You are back with your two babies Tommy and Francis, who you missed dearly, and your grandson Tommy Lee."
