Man raped woman who changed her mind, court hears
GoogleA man raped a woman after she refused to perform a sex act she had initially agreed to in exchange for money, a court has heard.
Mohammed Eltbie, 24, is on trial charged with raping the woman in the Charminster area of Bournemouth on 5 November 2025.
The woman, in her 30s, had initially agreed to perform a sex act on Eltbie for £50 but changed her mind, Bournemouth Crown Court heard.
Eltbie denies the charge and claims he had consensual sex with the woman.
Rebecca Fairbairn, prosecuting, told the court that the complainant had been out in the evening drinking in the area before agreeing to the transaction with Eltbie.
The pair then walked together to a wooded area of a nearby recreation ground.
The court heard that when the woman asked for the money, Eltbie handed her his bank card, at which point she changed her mind and tried to leave.
"She went to get up but the male started getting angry at her, pushing her down with both hands," said Fairbairn.
She said Eltbie raped the woman after he pinned her to the ground and tried to kiss her while she struggled and protested.
The court heard the defendant then fled the scene while the woman phoned police who found her in a "distressed" state.
The prosecutor said that the defendant was identified from CCTV footage and matched a DNA sample taken from the complainant.
She said that Eltbie claimed the sex was consensual and that the complainant had only become angry because he had given her his bank card instead of cash.
The trial continues.
