Second man charged in teenage beach rape inquiry

A second man has been charged after the alleged rape of two teenage girls on the beach in Great Yarmouth.

Norfolk Police was called to South Beach Parade shortly after 00:30 BST on 16 May.

Dawid Wlach, 35, of Dover Court in Caister-on-Sea, has been charged with one count of rape, one count of oral rape, one count of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault.

Wlach, who police said was a Polish national, has been conditionally bailed by police and is due at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 28 July. Another man appeared before magistrates in June and he is due at Norwich Crown Court, also on 28 July.

Madalin Ilinca, 34, of Suffolk Place in Great Yarmouth, is charged with one count of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

Ilinca, who police said was a Romanian national, has been remanded in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at the crown court.
