The body of a 15-year-old boy has been found after he went missing in a lake in Lincoln, police have said.

Emergency crews were earlier called to reports of a boy getting into difficulty at Swanholme Lakes at about 14:30 BST on Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police said a body was found after the lake was scoured by an underwater search team and named the boy who died as Declan Sawyer.

"This is such a sad incident that will no doubt also affect many of Declan's friends and the local community as well," Lincolnshire Police said.
